Casa Don Rodrigo is an authentic casona located on La Calle Grande, in the historic heart of San José del Cabo. Built in 1920 by Don Rodrigo Aragón—one of the region’s pioneers and the town’s very first Mayor—this house has long been a symbol of tradition and hospitality.

The Aragón family were deeply rooted in cattle ranching and agriculture, with a long-standing passion for crafting artisanal homemade cheese and cultivating organic products at their family farm.

Don “Cucho”, one of Don Rodrigo’s eldest sons, carried this legacy for many years. Today, his children—Jesús Jr., Gabriela, and Cecilia—proudly own this beautiful casona, honoring its spirit with every dish, design and celebration.

Casa Don Rodrigo is home to Cantina 29 and Choya Rose Boutique — a vibrant space to eat, drink, shop, and mingle with the locals. A place full of good vibes, genuine warmth, and the unmistakable touch of authentic Mexican hospitality.

Friday Is Lady’s Night

Casa Don Rodrigo is home to Cantina 29, an old-style Mexican cantina that blends traditional charm with a modern, vibrant spirit. It’s a lively space to enjoy sexy cocktails, sing, dance and mingle with locals in a safe, welcoming and authentic Mexican ambiance.

Cantina 29 is part of the restaurant offering a cool, air-conditioned space to enjoy your lunch an area surrounded by walls filled with photos that tell our story. By 6:00 PM, the atmosphere transforms — high cantina tables, lively music, and a vibrant mood invite you to dance, sing, and mingle just like the locals do.

Every Friday is Ladies’ Night! 💃✨ Enjoy special promotions and music to sing your heart out — all about love and despecho. Ladys come and join the fun!!
